As scary movie fans, we can agree that 2022 gave us amazing movies back-to-back; it was such a great year in terms of films. Judging from all the amazing movies we were served last season, from the Black Phone to Scream, we can say that we were impressed. But would it be crazy if we now say those movies from last year walked so the new releases could run? That seems to be a far stretch, but you just have to believe this and will do it once you read this article.

We have done our research and seen thousands of thrillers, and all we can say is that 2023 will be nothing short of astounding. We have already been blessed with several gems. If you are still wondering which ones to watch or be on the lookout for, here are six of the very best ones you should not miss out on:

1.  M3GAN

This film is on the top of our list because it crosses every T and dots every i’s. If you have seen Chucky and other Child’s Play movies that left you obsessed, you will love this. At this point, science might just be the end of man because we need an explanation of how a robotic doll with a terrifying anthropomorphic spirit was created in the first place. This doll becomes a girl’s best friend, which we know will be horrifying, that is why we watched it. It is safe to say that we were not disappointed!

2.  Sick

We have already watched this movie, so we will give you a breakdown, but a promise: no spoilers. The coronavirus was still in the air, and these two friends decided to quarantine away from everyone at a secluded lake house; nothing serious, just another movie character making a scary decision. This time, these friends are stalked by a crazy person in a lake house with no one to call for help!

3.  Knock At The Cabin

This movie is based on a book titled The Cabin at the End of the World, and there’s just something about scary book productions that make it even more horrific, and we are certainly here for it. In this movie, a family decides to go on a vacation, and their location of voice is a secluded cabin, but we can tell it is a bad idea. It’s a movie. We know that we are very aware of this fact. However, we are certainly not the only ones that want to scream at characters who choose to visit secluded and creepy places for no reason. Now they have been kidnapped by weirdos who want to make a sacrifice to prevent an apocalypse!

4.  The Exorcist

50 years after the production of the classic, a sequel is set to be released, and we know it must be damn good if it took this long to make. If you haven’t seen the original, you need to watch it before the first part of the sequel is released in October to avoid losing yourself. If you have, we know you must be excited to discover that some of the original characters will be in the sequels. Not to be a spoilsport, but this sequel is about another possessed child, and Ellen Burstyn is still playing the role of Chris MacNeil. Epic!

5.  Renfield

If you have seen the original Dracula by Bram Stoker, then you know who Renfield is. In this movie, Renfield falls in love, not just with anybody, but with a traffic cop, and when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did. Blinded by love, Renfield quits his job as Dracula’s henchman, and we know that will never be as easy as it sounds. In the movie, Nicolas Cage is Dracula, and Nicholas Hoult’s character is Renfield. We do not know how the story plays out yet, but we know it sucks to be Renfield, and we are counting the dates to April 14, when we can see how it plays out for him.

6.  Cocaine Bear

We all have imagined finding ourselves in impossible situations a few times. One of these situations could be you being chased by a wild big, furry animal like a bear, but we are 100% certain that you have never once considered the possibility of this animal being high on drugs. The story of this cocaine bear is as literal as it sounds, and the most shocking part is that it is based on a true story! A bear somehow got access to cocaine, got high, and killed many people. We know this horror-comedy is something you will want to watch.
